MIA!!

Well it has been to long again.. We went on vacationn and then last week my kids got the flu, who gets the flu in August, my kids thats who. I have been working on a few things that I will post soon I organized my scrap area today still have some more to do. I know the blue really doesn't go but I have a feeling it will be a baby boy :)so I couldn't resist adding it..I used a Faux Embossing technique on the food at the bottom it doesn't look as good because I colored in some of the image but this is a must try technique you can find it HERE post #39...

Sorry have not updated in a while with the end of the school year we have been really busy.. SO I am going to try and post a few things here..


This card I made for a swap on SCS for all those $1 Stamps. I used a luau set that I hardly ever used..

Hi and welcome to my Blog!! I hope you enjoy looking at my *artwork* as much as I enjoy doing it..



This is a card that I made for a gift (a set of all occasion cards) for my daughters Teacher for Teacher Appreciation Week May 4-8, 2009.

PAPER- Wausau Ivory cardstock, SU Pacific Point (in color)
INK- Ranger black, Marvy marker Dusty Pink,and Lt. Blue
ACCESORIES- Ribbon from Target (I think it was in a 5 pack),Golden Rod and Cotton Candy stickles, Liquid Pearls White Opal, Marvy Tag Punch.
STAMPS- SU Wagon Full of Fun,SU Think Happy Thoughts

I used the Liquid pearls to make it look like real frosting on the cupcake, I made a tag that says Happy Birthday,I used the cotton candy stickles around the paper on the cupcake and the gold stickles for a flame on the candle the candle is colored in with the Lt blue marker. The ribbon around the bottom is from Target $1 spot




This is a card I made for my husband. Years ago before we had 2 kids I used to give him a card every week *GASP* I used to buy them... Well it is coming up on our 10 year anniversary and we were reflecting back to things that we have done or the little things and he made a comment about the cards and said you don't have to buy them anymore you can make them ( I think he was a little disappointed that I didn't do that anymore). So I decide I would start doing that again,this is the card I made him.


PAPER-Olive Green (50pk multi-color at Michaels not sure of the name), Wausau Ivory CS
INK- SU Choc. Chip, watercolor pencils, blending pen.
ACCESORIES- Glossy accents,Green Stickles
STAMPS- MY! What a beautiful tree by Unity Stamping Co.,SU Animal crakers

I stamped the images with the choc. chip then used my watercolor pencils to color them in. I used the glossy accents on the flowers on the tree. The saying above the squirrel says "I'm nuts about you", I made the grass by just making marks with 2 different colors of green then blending them. I used green stickles on a few of the green leaves on the tree.




This is the card I made for the teachers Gift. All details are the same as above but used pink for the flowers rather than blue.I also didn't use the squirell

This is a card I made for my nephew for his 5th birthday.. The products I used are as follows.

PAPER- Wausau Ivory CS
INK- Colorbox inks, Martha Stewart Glitter Markers, MS Opaque Markers
ACCESORIES- I really didnt use on in this but for X-mas Red Stickles.
STAMPS- I used Stampin Up Think Happy Thoughts, Very Punny (retired) and Choo Choo

I used Colorbox ink then went over the colors with Martha Stewart glitter markers, I colored in the frog with watercolor pencils & used a blender pen. The smoke puffs were done with Martha Stewart opaque markers blue and white. I used a number stamp for the 5 and put the stickles over that.
